We started our Lent Prayer Challenge this weekend, we’ve had some lovely times praying first for other people, and then our family and then ourselves. Finishing off with saying thanks for absolutely anything which makes us happy.

We’ve done it conversationally round the table while we were eating our dinner, listening to each other and taking turns. Using the GodVenture book and putting the stickers on the candles.

Hi I'm afraid john Lewis only sell these in the run up to Christmas I'm afraid. I'll look out for them next year and re post if I see them. Another option would be to get a paint your own set. You can get hold of a paint your own kit here

Hi -just bought both sets of cards at the ministry conference. I want to use them with the families I work with so tried them on my two sons this evening. They are 10 and 13 so probably a bit older than the target audience but I chose the card about throwing a dice and praying for 6 things… It was amazing. They wanted to pray for deforestation and communist regimes !!! I think the current topics at school featured heavily, but because it seemed like a game ideas and prayers flowed and I felt very blessed!

Friday night was a real inspiration for us ‘grown ups’, it re enthused me about what could be acheived with young children. I took my 4 year old twins along to the family event the next day and what a lot of fun we had ! The range of activities meant that each twin, with their individual learning styles was catered for, and it was a lovely time together . Oh , and yes, we learnt so much about Jesus in such a memorable way, that months on from the event, the twins can still tell me the stories and more importantly, the meanings !

We had such a brilliant day at St John’s doing GodVenture. There were loads of families doing loads of activities together. It was great fun and completely inspiring. It is especially good if you are organizing the day as the team from GodVenture turn up and run the whole session. All I needed to do was sort out the bacon sandwiches and sit back and watch. It’s a winner all round!

What a great day – all they families had a prayer adventure! My family really enjoyed the creep crawlies bucket where we prayed for fears our family faced and had quite a lot of fun with the bugs. Victoria organised a very creative set of activities to inspire my family to get into the Bible more and pray more imaginatively. Thank you.
